Board Members Reappointed for Another Term

TUBA CITY – On Sept. 30, two members of the Board of Directors for Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation were reappointed for another four-year term after taking their Oaths of Office.

Ms. Carmelita Homer, representing the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, and Mr. Ronald Honyumptewa, representing Moenkopi Village, took their oaths, with their terms set to run from October 2024 through September 2028.

 

The reappointment ceremony lasted approximately 30 minutes and was attended by around 20 people, both in person and online. Board and family members were present, with some attending in person and others joining via video conference.

Board President Franklin Fowler remarked, “This is a special occasion. We are fortunate to have them return, and they are eager to continue their service.”

Mr. Honyumptewa, who took his oath first, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you very much for the opportunity to be back on the board. I will do my best to support and advocate for the community.”

Ms. Homer echoed the sentiment, saying, “I am glad to be back on the board.”

According to the organization’s bylaws, both members will serve a four-year term.

Vice President of the Board, Dolly Lane, representing Bodaway/Gap, warmly welcomed the returning members, saying, “We welcome you back to the board.”
