Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation wants you to know about this great new opportunity for uninsured adults and families in Tuba City. It’s called the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Gather the basic information you’ll need for every member of your household who needs coverage:
If you are uninsured or buy your own coverage, you can enroll from October 1 to March 31, 2014. Coverage will not begin before January 1, 2014. If your income is in the A or B area, you may be eligible for AHCCCS (Medicaid). If you fall in the C area you may eligible for Insurance Marketplace and financial assistance to help pay your premiums. The D area represents households that may be eligible for the Marketplace but their income may be too high to receive financial assistance. AHCCCS does not have an open enrollment; you can sign up any time. Expanded AHCCCS coverage begins on January 1, 2014 and enrollment begins October 1, 2013.
If your income exceeds the KidsCare guideline you are eligible for the Marketplace Health Insurance.
Tribal Exemption applications available for Native Americans who wish to opt out of Health Coverage (See PBC) or available online, prefill, print, sign, attach copy of CIB and mail to address indicated on application.
Application for Exemption for American Indians and Alaska Natives can be downloaded below.
In general, employees who are offered insurance through work are not eligible for coverage through the marketplace exchange, as long as their insurance meets specified requirements.
KidsCare will start on July 26, 2017 and we are taking applications for eligible children.
