Donated ski goggles from the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team giving some extra protection to TCRHCC care workers

On the Navajo Nation, as front-line healthcare professionals continue to face supply shortages amid a global pandemic, the U.S. Ski Team has provided one of the many makeshift solutions to the problem. They have donated ski goggles to Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC) for use as personal protective equipment (PPE).

TCRHCC received a huge box of donated ski goggles from the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team on Thursday, April 23.

“We are very appreciative for all donated and reusable PPE, especially as we consider our response as a marathon, not a sprint,” said Dr. Jarred McAteer, a physician caring for COVID-19 patients at TCRHCC. “During this crisis, any eye protection is valuable for our frontline health care workers.”

TCRHCC frontline healthcare workers were thrilled the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team is behind their efforts. The donation resonates community support.

McAteer gave a sincere “Thank you to the U.S. Ski Team.” He added all donations help our frontline healthcare workers, most who are local, care for our local families and community.

TCRHCC is accepting donations during the pandemic. If you are interested in ways you can help, visit https://www.tchealth.org/donate-ppe/index.html to learn how you can help.

Thank you @usskiteam!
