Registration Process 2026

One-time registration. Each participant will need to register, including youth.

  • Children 17 years & younger will need to be registered by Parent/Guardian.

Check-in for all hiking locations will begin at 7:00am (DST), hikes will begin promptly at 7:30am (DST) unless stated otherwise. *OPEN TO ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Participation

Complete online registration.

  • All participants must complete registration this includes youth under the age of 17-yo who must be registered by a parent/guardian who is also attending the event.
  • Online registration will be close at 4:00pm every Friday before the hiking event takes place.
  • Onsite registration will be available at some hiking locations (except for Eggshell Arch).

Select which locations you will be attending for the hiking series.

  • We will be sending out email notifications to participants that pre-registered for the hiking event the week of the event. This will include:.
      1. Need to know information such as meeting times, directions to the hiking locations and if there are any changes due to unexpected circumstances or extreme weather conditions.
      2. Please provide a good email address so we have it on file.

At trailhead, each participant is required to:

  • Check in with HPDP staff before the start of the event. If you do not check-in your attendance will not count towards the hiking series.
  • No virtual hikes will be allowed, you must attend the hiking series event the day of the event with HPDP staff.

Transportation

  • Transportation will not be provided by the Health Promotion Disease Prevention Program. Participants must drive in their own vehicles to each hiking location.
  • Participants are responsible for any park and/or parking fees.

Fitness

  • Must have fair physical fitness and lower body strength.
  • Please review the hiking information sheet for each location. Hikes range from easy, moderate, and hard/ strenuous.

Incentives

  • Participants will receive their incentive at the conclusion of the hiking series.
  • Incentive items will vary depending on how many hikes participants complete.
