TCRHCC Update: Renovation Begins on Historic Home on Main Street

Tuba City, AZ – On April 15, the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC) started construction on a historic home located at 039 N. Main Street in Tuba City. This project is the culmination of efforts by donors and hospital staff that began in 2017.  The construction renovation is expected to occur from April 15, 2019 through May 17, 2019.

The historic 20th century house on Main Street, next to the Tuba City Primary School was once home to many teachers, support staff, and healthcare staff in the community of Tuba City.

The house is undergoing construction renovation to create the TCRHCC House of Hope. The newly named ‘House of Hope’ will be home to the Cancer Support Community (CSC) and SANE/SART programs.  The CSC program will provide cancer support services for people of all ages affected by cancer.  Through assistance from CSC, support groups and counseling services will be offered.  The SANE/SART program will continue to offer support for victims of sexual assault and provide resources that promote healing and empowerment.

“Our patients will benefit immensely from upgrades that promote an environment for their selves and their families when experiencing difficult situations in their lives,” said, Lynette Bonar, CEO of TCRHCC.
The TCRHCC House of Hope renovation includes a:

  • re-designed lobby, group meeting room, and installed technology;
  • ramp improving patient accessibility and improved engineered infrastructure; and
  • refinished historic interior and millwork.

“Patients will now have access to counseling and support, which focus on the elements of healing.  It’s important to TCRHCC to offer essential patient resources that are closer to home and promote recovery and wellness,” said Tanya Riggs, Program Development Director at TCRHCC.

The TCRHCC House of Hope will begin by offering services for patients and their families starting May 20.
