Visiting Hours

Visiting Tuba City Regional Health Care

Visiting hours in various units may differ from the general hospital visitation hours. Please check with the nurses’ station to verify when to visit patients.

When visiting after 6 pm, please use the main entrance on the west side of the hospital and sign in with the Security Officers and sign out when leaving the premises.

Visitors' Guide

Adult Care Unit

  • Visiting hours are from 11 am - 8 pm.
  • There will be two (2) visitors per patient.
  • Ages 12 years and younger are not allowed in patient rooms.

Pediatric Care Unit

  • Pediatric patient's parents have 24-hour visiting privledges.
  • All other visitors may visit from 10 am - 8pm.
  • Parents are encouraged to stay the night with their children in pediatric units.
  • One parent may sleep at the bedside a sleeping mat.
  • Sibling visits are allowed during the summer season.
  • During the winter months children (17 and under) are not allowed in the patient area.

Intensive Care Unit

  • Daily Visiting hours: 7:30am - 6:30pm and 7:30pm - 6:30am.
  • There will be two (2) visitors per patient.
  • Ages 14 years and younger are not allowed in patient rooms.
  • Fresh flowers are not permissable in the Intensive Care Unit.

Labor and Delivery/Postpartum/Nursery

  • Adults are always welcome, 24 hours a day.
  • Brothers and sisters of the new baby may visit by special arrangements with staff. 12 pm - 8 pm daily.
  • Visitors of women in labor may come at any time and in any number.
  • Any visitor who may have a contagious illness will not be allowed to visit.
  • Visiting hours, other than when women are not in labor, are 12 pm - 8 pm.
  • During the winter months children (17 and under) are not allowed in the patient area.

Visitors' Responsibilities

As a visitor, you play an important role in the recovery of every patient you visit.
Please take a moment to review the following responsibilities, and thank you for visiting.

  • Please do not visit if you have a contagious disease like a cold or the measles, especially on units with children and babies.
  • Children who visit must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
  • If a physician or staff member asks you to step out of a patient's room to do a procedure or provide care, please respect these requests. You may return to the room as soon as the care has been provided.
  • When you visit, please stay in the patient's room or the unit waiting areas rather than in the hallways, and use the public restrooms.
  • If the patient you are visiting shares the room with another patient, please respect the needs of both patients for privacy, dignity, and rest.
  • Please remember how important quiet is in allowing patients to rest, and help us maintain a peaceful, healing atmosphere in patient areas.
