Wellpoint Arizona Scholarship Program

The Wellpoint Arizona Scholarship is offering up to 12 awards of $5,000 to American Indian/Alaska Native (Al/AN) students pursuing careers in nursing, mental health, or substance use.

Applicants must meet all the following criteria:

• Reside in Arizona and be a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe
• Be a high school senior or graduate, current college undergraduate or graduate level student
• Plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire academic year
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
• Plan to pursue a degree or certification to become a Nurse (Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
OR
• Plan to pursue a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master’s Degree in License Professional Center (LPC)
